Pat has pastored for 35 years and has a wealth of experience loving, and serving the body of Christ, locally, and globally. For many years he has served as a pastor in his local church, and has regularly served other worship pastors, churches, through his coaching and training.

There is no such thing as a “one size fits all” so Pat is committed to tailoring his coaching to your specific needs. His coaching is a journal-based coaching where he journals back and forth with you throughout the week and then ends the week off with a phone call.

Pat recently completed his coaching training and is very excited about how this style of coaching puts your care above all else. Here is what a worship pastor in Ontario recently said about Pat and his coaching.

“The 10-week coaching program I went through with Pat helped me to come to a renewed understanding of who I am, what God has called me to do, and things in my life that were holding me back from that. Pat is an excellent coach, and through insightful questions and helpful prodding, I saw a lot of growth through the program. I would happily recommend this to anyone, and I would suggest that you approach with an 'all-in’ mindset and give yourself permission to really dive deep into the content!” — Rob Brockman

Pat recently said, “after going through the coaching course myself, and presently being coached myself, I don’t know how I made it this long without one. In my opinion, everyone needs a coach, especially one who will remind me of the gospel, regularly point me to Jesus and care for me in every way.”

Coaching

Every church needs someone outside of their circle to be invited in to ‘walk the walls’ as it were, to encourage, to give input regarding regular practices, to challenge at times, and to be a new set of ears and eyes. Pat is uniquely gifted in this way. He has been invited into many churches over the past few years and has helped them immensely.

Here is what one pastor said recently about Pat’s ministry in the life of his church worship team.

"Pat's experience, wisdom, and grace have been an absolute gift to our church. He has been intentional and relational in helping our lay worship leaders go from good to great, and in helping me as the Lead Pastor to know what to look and listen for in corporate worship. I highly recommend Pat's ministry to every church." — Paul Siemens

Consulting

There are many ways to train worship leaders, worship teams, but Pat is committed to two specific areas that help both the local church worship pastor/worship coordinator, and the worship team.

Weekender

The weekender is an event where Pat and a team of musicians and sound man comes into your church and comes along side your worship team to equip them theologically and practically in all areas of worship.

The musicians, singers, and the sound team all receive hands on training. We practically train singers and musicians by using this method, “We do, you watch”, “We do, you help’, “You do, we help”, and then, “You do, we watch”.

Worship Leader Intensive

The 4-day intensive is an intentional context where leaders are pushed to think theologically about why we do what we do in corporate worship, have the opportunity for hands-on practice and feedback, and benefit from interaction and relationships with other leaders from diverse contexts.

Each intensive is limited to 14 people, and it is by invitation only. The registration cost is $400, which covers all meals, books, and additional resources. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation and lodging. We usually book a few Airbnb’s, so the lodging is inexpensive.

The intensive will run two times a year Lord willing, one in Vancouver, and one in the east. Here’s what a few said about the last intensive they attend.

David from Calvary Baptist in Newfoundland - “The Lord used this time to encourage me in so many ways. And I really believe that I will take things from the intensive with me for the rest of my life and ministry. It was such a privilege to spend time with you all learning together and worshipping Jesus together.”

Josh from Port City Church in Halifax - “The format of having a smaller group (12-15 people) was perfect (don’t change this!) and even doing as much as we did (the 12 hour days) over the course of time (4-5 days) was well used and the perfect amount, in my opinion. I think these things, coupled with your ability to pastor and care for the group (of pastoral leaders) made the week FULL and RICH.”

Andrew from Northview in Abbotsford - “Pat, you and Cherry were incredible hosts. So generous with your time and resources. Furthermore, the generosity of your church was INCREDIBLE. I felt totally and utterly spoiled and have just been so rejuvenated and revived in my personal life and ministry. Thank you for investing in us.”

Intensive dates for 2024 and 2025.

2024 – October 23-27

2025 – May, and October (specific dates to be announced)
