Intricate, Perfect, Creative Love
One of my many roles at Crossway Church is having the privilege of overseeing the creative team. These folks have a unique gift and they love using it for the good of the church and the glory of God. They work very hard all the time not seeking reward here but looking forward to the reward that awaits them one day when they see Jesus face to face.
Leave them alone together in a room for a very short time and it's amazing what they come up with. They are primarily responsible for all the branding at the church, all the graphics and stage design for the various sermon series. I'm so grateful for these kinds of people and so is the rest of the church. My daughter sent me this after their most recent meeting. Just another reason why I love my job.
"Sitting around the table sipping our bottomless diner coffee, talking about the pros and cons of 2D or 3D design for the upcoming Summer series, my heart was filled with thankfulness. The Lord gave me this brain that wants to create, then he put me in a church that eagerly embraces those gifts, and then he put me in a community of other creative like minds to grow together. Looking around Saturday morning across my French toast I was amazed at the intricate, perfect, creative love of the Father. He knows my needs, but more than that he knows my "likes" and he loves to give his kids good gifts so that he might get the glory. He knows our hearts and he loves us. If he provides for the little seemingly surface things, how much more for our souls? I'm so thankful for Crossway, thankful for the opportunity to do what I love to do for the Glory of Christ and the advancement of his Gospel."
